In the second, Keith Steinberg’s Miss K continued her good form when she spread-eagled her rivals over 1600m on her favourite course. This was Miss K’s 6th career win.
The LGRS team produced a quick double on Thursday 19th September 2013 at Vaal Sand when winning the first two races on the card.
In the first, Brett Parker’s first timer, the Tiger Ridge filly, She’s A Tiger won going away and in so doing, qualified for the Sophomore Fillies Sprint to be held on Emerald Day, 28th September.
Both fillies were confidently ridden by stable jock Deon Sampson, who has built up a fine partnership with Miss K, in particular.
Trainee assistant trainer, Sam Mafaka, relished the opportunity of handling the winning interviews and made no secret of his and his team’s passion for racing and their commitment to the yard.
With the buy-in of the team to every horse and runner, the yard can only prosper!
