She’s a special filly in the LGRS yard and she had been putting up excellent work in her prep for the Syringa Handicap (Listed) for fillies and mares over 1600m at Turffontein on Sunday 25th May 2014.
Negev brought her career earnings to nearly R1M with her good win under a very experienced and confident ride from Gunther Wrogemann. Owned by Claude Comaroof and Brett Parker, Negev held off a strong challenge from Ilha Bela, who in turn, had taken up the running of stable companion Moggytwoshoes.
The first (Negev) and third (Moggytwoshoes) rounded off a good effort from the LGRS team.
Negev now begins her final prep for the KZN Breeders Mile (R1M), on 29th June 2014, at Clairwood.
