Whilst One Man’s Dream dealt with the short priced favourite with a magnificent display of guts and determination to win a great race, Miss K was most unlucky when the winning post came just too soon, after she was held up earlier, for a run. Keith Steinberg’s tenacious 7 time winner was running on throughout, but just never got up.
Societi was no match for the winner, but ran a good second, going away from the third horse and Celine was forced to race flat out early on, to overcome the draw and still held on for fifth.
One Man’s Dream was our 28th winner of the season. With just two months left, our target of 36 winners could be reached. We will go all out to achieve this target!
It could have been better, though, than the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th which our runners achieved on Thursday 29th May 2014, at Vaal Turf.
