He may be as white as Casper the Ghost, a bit scatterbrained and very immature still, but when Bah puts that big action together, he is a serious contender.
And on Tuesday 1st July, at Vaal over 1400m, Bah was in a galloping mood, even though he still ran around once he hit the front. Champion jockey Piere Strydom was stood down during the day, with a severe bout of flu and JP Van Der Merwe picked up the ride.
After riding to specific instructions from the LGRS team, JP picked Bah up inside the last 400m and the result was a formality from then onwards.
This was a very good win for Brett Parker’s “special” horse. Whilst he remains a bit immature, Bah looks set to improve with time.
DON’T SAY BOO……..SAY BAH!
