Sporting the well known yellow and black colours of Anthony Maroun and under a strong, balanced and well timed ride from Piere Strydom, Doing It For Dan outsprinted the field over 1000m on Thursday 27th November 2014 at Vaal Turf.
Anthony Maroun’s son, Kayden, is an aspiring young racing enthusiast and this is his horse. (Dad just pays the bills). Unfortunately, Anthony could not get Kayden to the races on time to lead his horse into the winners enclosure.
The message from LGRS to young Kayden was clear, in the interview, when Louis said that, “School is good, but it shouldn’t interfere with midweek racedays.”
There’s nothing like a bit of humour on top of a good win!
