DOUBLE FIGURES !
Nothing beats the sight of a top class thoroughbred racehorse who has the will to win and defies the opposition as he or she strives for the winning post, in full flight.
That's the feeling from the LGRS camp after Trip Tease notched up his TENTH career win at Vaal Sand on Tuesday 24th March, after returning from a 2 month rest.
It is a privilege to have this amazing horse in our care and we thank Mr.Mario Ferreira for his wonderful and much appreciated support.
Still Moving !
Move Like Jagger won a good race at Vaal yesterday onthe 1600m Turf track. Gunther Wrogemann rode a confident race on the son of Daylami. Move Like Jagger is Owned by Rose Hall and Johnny Carelse, whose partnership has been both lucky and successful, in the LGRS yard
SO WHAT’S BORING?
So who said that life is dull in a racing stable…? On Monday, Niebelung won again in Kimberley and the transport broke down on the way home…. On Thursday, we bought Way West, the sire who has been so good to us over the years. Basically, we got him for a pittance and he will come and stand up here, more for his freedom and a nice big paddock than for anything else.
It’s strange to us, this racing world, when a sire like this just loses his commercial value. Over and above Waywest Goddess’s special achievements for us, every other Way West has won for us, barring Little Oke. But, he will win within his next two starts. Our other Way West in the yard, West We Go, still only a 3 year old, followed up her maiden win , with a good 3rd place in open company, just 2 weeks ago. Mind boggling!
And today, it’s off to Melbourne, via Sydney, to the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale …..
We will keep you posted……
